An IoT based blood bag monitoring system - We ?ve developed a blood bag monitoring system that will be monitoring the storage conditions of blood bags while it is transported and stored.The project successfully attained transparency and traceability in the blood supply chain. The following results were obtained: ? Vein-to-vein traceability is possible from donor to recipient.? Digitised the inventory with a stock management/record management system.? Temperature readings at Collection Centre and Storage centre were reported accurately. The reading is available to the mother blood bank (transparency).? Notified temperature breaches to concerned officials for taking immediate actions.? Weekly status reports to the concerned departments.? Enables the authorities to find out the discard percentage (for collection centre and storage centre) to take necessary action.? Disease cluster identification is possible.
